Hey guys, I have a comp xfi 468 (and all supporting mods) in my motor I am just finishing up. Long story short, my heads are set up with new comp 26918 beehives. Although I have not ran them yet, after reading stories, and hearing the same thing over, Im pretty sure I am going to break a spring with this cam. I plan to sell off the 918's and go with a better valve spring. I want to rev it out as high as I can, so I want some good springs. I have no problem spending upto around $450 if necessary.

I have been looking at the lunati 73925 springs, but I'd like something with ti retainer, and haven't found that option. What other choices would you guys suggest for spring kits?

The motor is a forged 383. Stock head castings, ported with larger seats installed. Ported stock intake with bbk 58mm. 12-1 compression. It will see alot of drag strip use and alot of nitrous. Thanks

Actually I just purchased a set yesterday. I Emailed BTR and they offer their platinum spring kit for the gen 2 Lt1. The only issue is that the valve guides need to be machined down to .500" for the seals. Ithe was a little harder than I expected to find the spring kit other than ordering direct. But I did find them at Colorado speed for for $331 shipped with titanium retainers. The part number is BTR SK004T for titanium and SK004S for steel. Those were $227 shipped. My brother has the BTR platinum spring kit with ti retainers on his LS1 and they are awesome. Both in quality and function, so I decided to try them on my LT1
