So I didn't see a nice little oil leak from the back of my LT4 valve covers and it was leaking oil on to the T56. Some oil got on my clutch disk and PP. It spun a few times and I could smell the clutch disk frying. Is it toast? :(

Chances are it's gonna have to be replaced... only other thing I could say is take it out and try to sand the disk down a bit and spray the flywheel/PP with degreaser

but to be honest, if you have to go through the hassle of taking out the trans, might as well replace the clutch...

You can try a hard launch and see how it holds but idk... if oil soaked into the disk it's pretty much a lost cause

BUT I had my intake manifold leaking for a LONG time all over the trans and it didn't cause much of a problem for me...

if you pull it out you may as well replace it....
when a clutch slips once it will do it again
