No, it's a newer pwm style, the lock up won't work right and when it down shifts it'll go 4th neutral 2nd instead of 4th-2nd. Cahall

Correct, Frank had to put an obd1 valve body/harness/standard lockup pump in it. Remember at dyno day how hard it was downshifting? That was why.

No it will not work.

Pull the pan on the trans you bought and see if it actually has a PWM solenoid. All aftermarket harnesses have 13 pins because they're universal. The PWM solenoid sticks out of the front of the valve body, on the passengers side. There will be a similar solenoid on the drivers side for 3-2 downshift. You can also look for the letters "PWM" cast in the front of the pump. If it has the letters "PWM" and/or the PWM solenoid, it won't work.
There's a "sticky" in the drivetrain section explaining the differences.

Thanks guys. The one I bought don't have pwm on the front of the pump . I looked up the numbers 7chd and it came out of a 1997 2500 van

So if don't have pwm stamped on the pump and don't have the solenoids it will work?

You can't always go by the numbers on the case. 4L60E cases were interchangeable from 1993-1997. The case and internal wiring harness may have both been swapped. If the pump doesn't have the "PWM" stamped in it, it's definitely a non PWM pump. I would just check and confirm on the solenoid. Pull the pan and take a couple pictures and post them. I'll let you know what you have.

I tried to put the pic on here can't get themail to load but I pulled the pan and it does have two solenoids up front but the one on the passenger side is not there the plug for the solenoid is there .did they sale a transmission that someone took parts out of or has it been modified

So, you have a plug in the harness that isn't connected to a solenoid and there's no solenoid there? That just means someone either used a later or universal internal harness.

Your transmission shouldn't have the solenoid that is circled.
