All was going well Tuesday night. making some short passes and tuning on the spray. Car had a misfire on the 2 previous passes. 3rd pass about 60' is backfired a littleand died. although it is still on the trailor im thinking it is the 20 year old Gm opti, or the 15 year old carquest cap and rotor took a crap after many 7K spins. With that being said which is the best way to go. Im planning on repinning for a standard 411 PCM and making coil brackets so basicly Im needing the cam/crank sensor setups and reluter wheels. I think I can go with the EFI a little cheaper but a lot more work making the stock timing cover work with a double roller chain. also I dread dropping the front of the oil pan(that doesnt leak) to install the relucter wheel. The torqhead cost a little more but would be much easier to install. Any input suggestions or corrections?
However if it is the opti and it is Just the cap/rotor Im gonna try to piece it back togather for the shootout and deal with this this winter
