We were just going to the the housing and axels but we talked and just for a little more now we could both have bolt in rear ends ready to go instead of waiting to save more later from what he's told him from what they've told him we will get brackets and stuff first then the housing axles and carrier

Which center did you go with? I ordered my QP 9" about 2 weeks ago. Still deciding what to do about a center section?

I picked up a posi center (complete), had the stock posi gone over and new QP 3.89 gears installed. Costed me about 500. I have right around 1600 total in my rear setup.

The only part that got tricky IIRC was the sway bar mount. I can take pics of anything if anyone has questions. Car isn't going anywhere for a few weeks.

I just got some all thread and had it bent still prob gonna have to get the Spohn (I think that's who sells them) brackets bc my sway bar is resting on my rearend

Pretty sure I ended up buying the Spohn mount also. QP said nothing extra was needed, but that was for sure.

If you rotate the bottom of the sway bar brackets toward the rear of the car (assumes they are not tack welded), it should move the sway bar backwards a bit.... maybe enough to clear. I did that when the stock sway bar hit the LPW cover on my 12-bolt.

Try to get something other then the stock Ford nodular center section. They are JUNK. Weak pinion supports. Do a quick search and you'll see what im taking about. Buddy of mine broke his on a mild 355 at the track.

If you Dont plan on going to the drag strip you'll be ok, but as soon as you start launching hard on one, your gambling.

One of the guys at QP said the stock centers are rated at like 400hp. Definitely lower than I was anticipating, but still better than a 10 bolt. Plus with the centers being a fairly easy swap, I plan on picking up a beefier center down the road with a spool and maybe a hair more gear. For the track days lol.

I have the aluminum center with 3:89 gears and full spool

Didn't know the nodular iron centers were so weak, is this also an issue with Moser 9"?

You can upgrade the center section case with the Moser 9". The Moser housing is pretty similar to QP except for the torque arm mount IIRC.

Gotcha, I bought mine with the nodular center. Didn't realize it was a weak point figured it was more for weight savings sake.

Ok new update gears and rear ends showed up at the end of last week haven't started any progress due to not being shipped the hardware and other plans over the weekend hoping to start on them soon, what does suck is that you have to use our oem backing plates so we have to disassemble part of our rear ends to do the install was Hoping just to start assembling them in the garage and just swapping them

Harner is your pinion yoke centered with the trans ? Mine is off like maybe 2" witch puts the ds at an angle going towards the passenger side, the rearend is centered with the car though

The pinion shaft is offset about 1" on the center section. There can be additional offset if the axles are not the same length. The pinion centerline is also dropped 3/4" below where it is on the 10-bolt/12-bolt. U-joints are working overtime.

Ok update started tearing it down tonight did it for about a hour and a half and got the wheels off, brakes off, and the sway bar bushings and the pan hard bar. Going to take the rest of it off tomorrow and get the backing plates off and start the reassembly tomorrow and add my MWC lca and hopefully the panhard bar if not that will go on the silver Camaro

New update after a long day the car isn't done but it mostly done just need to install the torque arm, axles, brakes, and fluids. The pain in the ass part is the torque arm because when the rear end got installed for the second time it's actually easier to put the whole rear end with the third member then it is to put the rear end in then the third member. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160417/9b4baf469f35a13a89da072f40ad82c8.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160417/80c6211970e6211f62e54ec39f25154c.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160417/f7db3a0c9fa82b8ef68d53a70a4adfbb.jpg if you have ABS remove these little bastards as they make it impossible to push the axles in far enough to take the c clips to remove the old axles http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160417/bba502d3d3c5a7807529f74717f4c724.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160417/259cb0069dc1a1f5069b564f16e33bd6.jpg old rear ends out of both camaroshttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160417/bea114f47a6d8c379154054badb02749.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160417/d2dc808576b49e85b261a8e571292309.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160417/41266e734649f1fe7433e8d1e28131ed.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160417/86d7996bd5cfb72d9828eb052056f6cd.jpg

You only have those wheel speed sensors, and the reluctor gears on the axles if you have both ABS and traction control. With just ABS, they are not there.
