So I am about to order the 3500 stage 3 revmax stall. My car is just a bolt on car will have a 100 shot come spring. Is a anti balloon plate. Needed and when I order will I just need 1.

IIRC the ballon plate is included in the price.
A plate is recommended for n20.

I don't think you understand what an anti-balloon plate actually is.
It isn't an external add on plate it is a reinforcement of the hub area of the converter.

The ballot plate comes in convers that are worth your while.
It may be better to buy a better converter. I think it's will be worth researching. Contracting Frank Cahall. He is a sponsor of this form .

Actually, a quality converter doesn't use an anti balloon plate. On a purpose built performance converter, the converter front is billet, which eliminates the need for one on the flexplate side and the hub has a base that is larger to take the place of the plate on the hub side. With a Rev Max, it doesn't matter either way. We've seen many of them balloon even with plates. When a converter balloons, 3 things can happen. It will gain internal clearance, making it less efficient. This makes the converter slip more at higher RPMs. It pushes the crankshaft forward, which can eat thrust bearings, and it pushes the hub back, which will cause transmission pump damage. All 3 are common problems created by cheap converters.

Billet front converters are more expensive, but definitely worth the money.

You are bolt ons correct?

I would and did choose a revmax, they are an excellent budget converter. I've got lots of hard miles on mine. So do alot of other people.

If you actually drop coin on the car in the future you won't feel bad about ditching a cheap revmax for a better converter.
If you want something for later down the road with a built motor wait until you have the car built then have a converter built for that particular setup.
