I ran a 10.13 a few weeks back. So now I need to knock off that tenth and be in the 9s.

Any suggestions? I'm switching to 28" slick. Theyre hand me downs. I can afford new anything.

My 60' sucked. Was only doing 1.61s. Last year it was 1.50s. I took out some weight since last year. Added Viking coilovers and a mwc dragbar. I would think the car should pull 1.40s on motor.

1/10th would put you at 10.03! jk What gear tire combo do you have now and at what weight? Playing with coilovers could help taht 1.6 60' is deffinatly an area that could be improved. I'm sure you know 1/10 at 10.00's is a lot harder than 1/10th at 13.00's! I see your running NO2, a little more never hurts!!:D

Lol you know what I mean!

3:73 26" tires w/4l60e. I was in the red around 7k through the traps. So I have some 28s give to me.

The coilovers are set up like Viking guy recommended. I'm not sure on how to adjust while at the track.

For shock settings the best thing to do is film the car launching and them watch the suspension move as it launches. It's amazing how much a tire will flatten and your rear end will move in slow motion as well as the amount of movement in the front end. It all happens so fast it's hard to do in real time just by watching and impossible to do from the driver seat. It will also help to make sure your ARB is loaded correctly. You could use an online calculator to determine trap speed/rpm if you switch to 28's, depending on your peak power they might help or hurt you.

28s should help on 60ft alot. How much spray and what did your 1/8 mile times look like. What tq arm and lca setting.

3.73S and 28s with nitrous with around 7000 rpm cap sshould net a 140 mph trap give or take depending on the converter slippage

Going from 26s to.28s will loosen that converter a bit

You made a good move going to 28s with the spray

The extra sidewall will help but like i.told you, your rear shocks are very important.

Hope you get your 9 sec pass!

If it doesn't hook up, id play with tire psi Then start playing wirh the progressive.

Thanks man. I hope so too. I looked at rear coilovers conversion. Expensive. I may just have to do da rear shocks next year.

I'm nervous about tire growth. I don't want to cut those 28s.

150 shot. Ran 6.55 @ 107.

Has non adjustable lcas and an Alston TA.

I've always set pinion angle at -4 til this year. I swapped rears da and went with a -2.

If the shocks are soft in the rear on the compression and allows the body to squat on the axle, it very well might .

If youre on a budget id suggest comp engineering 3 ways. There dirt cheap and have been in the 1.3 sixties on radials. Granted it'd be nice to see ya on a double adjustable but if your hell bent on saving money try them. Mine went 1.42 on the comps on radials,

I 60ft 1.4s with a best of 1.44. I'm still running stock original springs and shocks in the rear.

The car doesn't squat much at all in the rear.

What settings do I need in those Vikings up front? I'm wondering if I have them all out of whack. I think they are set at like 18 and 4. I emailed them and they said to out it at 12 and 0.

I'm big in cutting weight off the car. Anything else will have to be extreme. I'm open to ideas. Most everything is already gone. In street trim as it sits now, it only has lightweight carpet, poly seats, and plastic interior in it. I don't want to remove that stuff. I have a lightweight battery for a crotch rocket.

Spraying 150. Don't have the 175 or 200 jets yet.

Front swaybar delete, bumper support, power steering delete, abs delete, airbags, unecessary metal brackets (mostly rear seat/cargo area) i bought a harbor freight spotweld cutter for like $5 works great on those brackets, cut out spare tire well, center well (t-top area) and drivers side well, full pin on hood remove all brackets hinges etc, hvac delete, inner fender trim mod. Do a google search for studderin "bitch on a diet" a ton of info on weight reduction, this guy went nuts. Side note : How are those poly seats ???? I was thinking about the cheapies jegs sells for like $39 apiece. Are they fairly comfortable for a weekend / track car????

I have done all of that except pin on hoop and cutting out the rear wells. Do you have any pics? I was wanting to do that this winter. Cut and weld in some sheet metal.

I love my seats. They are the jets ones with covers. I have a thread on here with pics. It doesn't take much to make me happy so I don't need super comfort. I enjoy the seats!

I don't think I could ever make mine look that good in the back. I can't weld worth crap. But I will try this winter.

Oh I see. Very nice. But on passenger side, looks to be hard to shape it to look good like he does. He did wonderful job.
