Yeah I just got the car home, gonna get some pics posted asap. It supposedly has a walbro pump that's been replaced 3 times so I'm just gonna get a stock replacement fuel pump module and see if it fixes it and all 4 tires are slashed so they will get replaced. And it's been outside in the Texas heat it's whole life so the rubber and weatherstripping is pretty wasted as is the paint but no major body damage except the front bumper cover which has a hole from an exhaust tip that got into it.

Also it has Eibach springs not Hotchkis.

In El Paso at 3800ft elevation the PO said they ran a best of 14 flat on a warm night, not really sure what that would equal at sea level on a cool night but I'm thinking low 13's with a good holeshot.

There was a walboro knock off that was being sold for a while that was far from reliable. Idk if thats still an issue, but if the mods dont require bigger injectors a stock pump should be fine.

Yeah and I suspect it's got one of the junk walbros in it, and it is stock injectors so stock pump should be fine I think as well.

Ok, i have updated the first post, the car is running driving and i have decided to put it back up for sale. I just have to many other projects im working on right now to take on another one.

I will be honest and say that starting tomorrow i will be daily driving the car, my daily commute is only a few miles so it wont get a bunch of miles on it, to make sure it doesn't have any potential problems pop up from sitting for the last two years. It also have a drive line vibration under acceleration that im going to try and get figured out this week as well.

Its a one owner car, i got it from the girl that bought it brand new! She never had a garage and its cooked in the Texas heat its whole life!

Yeah it def needs a paint job, but other than that the car is in pretty good shape, it had a big system in it at some point so lots of wires in the back and thru the interior. Not sure it ever got washed or waxed either!

I think you're asking too much. The car may be straight, but that paint is flat out rough, and you know what they say about impressions. And technically, it's a two owner car if you as you said, "got it from the girl who bought it brand new!" The work that's been put into it isn't major stuff other than the cam, pretty much a bolt on and cam car. It's nothing special. But the interior is deplorably filthy, the exterior is shot, and the mods are mismatched (cam and shorty headers on a stock dual car y pipe and stock cat-back with a flowmaster muffler, yes, those look like late 97+ exhaust tips). Not to mention the missing speaker grill on the drivers door, and that also points out to me this is a low option base car with the 4 speaker sound system, base door panels, etc also. The stereo is even missing.

Honestly, the way it sits, that's a $3000 car tops right now. Yes, it's low mileage. But it was neglected in the most prominent areas and it shows. If you put some money into it, do a halfway decent paint job at Maaco for a grand, put a FULL exhaust on it and have it tuned for such, clean up and tidy anything glaring up, then you could be looking at 6000ish. But the way it sits, not a chance. Whoever buys it is going to have to wrap up a serious amount of money just to get it cleaned up, looking decent, and any surprise issues sorted out. Sorry man, just being realistic about it.

Thats a very reasonablr price there. If u have a local school auto body votech... go offer ur car for training. Thy will do the bodywork and painting for free and u will only pay materials. Then pull that wiring out... wipe down the plastics and clean the car very well, and then u can ask the higher price.

Yeah i wish i didnt have so many other projects going on and would like to fix this up, but just dont have the time or money to put into it. I bought it to help the PO and didnt want the car to end up in a wrecking yard or impound lot due to a stupid HOA.

I really wish (for u and ur wallets sake) u would have cleaned it up and taken fresh pics. We talked about the car here, so I get it... but in ebay people dont know what we discussed here and I fear they will think its a 1k car because of the pics.

Subframe connectors are two point I believe and don't know brand, they are red or orange if that helps. Also the panhard bar and lower controls arms are both non adjustable.

I have the car listed for sale locally and have gotten a few decent offers on it but no one has shown up with cash yet so I decided to give eBay a shot.

Sorry to anyone here in advance that was bidding and or watching, i cant afford to let it sell for a low amount an the car is worth way more and if you get past the paint its a great car that i would be keeping if i didnt have so many other projects going on.

Well i haven't put the title in my name yet, so its still a one owner car, i have the clean clear title and bill of sale. Also i did take it to the car cash and give it a good scrubbing and it didnt help much. Ive had alot of people locally want to trade for various cars but nothing has really peaked my interest.

There's not a lot you can do for the exterior. I think what's really hurting it is how the interior shows. The car honestly looks like it was left open to the elements, water and all. A good thorough detailing on the interior, fix the driver door panel speaker grille, put a stereo in it, clean it up and it'll present a LOT better. The dash around the airbag on the passenger side is a concern though too.

The inspection and registration were both expired when I got the car as it had been sitting up for at least 2 years. Also there were no plates so I got a temp 7 day tag to drive it around a bit and see if it had any other issues.

I have been really busy with work and life and haven't had a lot of time to mess with the car. If it doesn't sell this go round on eBay I will be getting it tagged/registered and inspected and will be driving it while I work on getting the 454/4L80e swapped into my Tahoe Limited.

But u cant register it or drive it... and operating it with the previous owners tag would leave liability on them. Most states also require change of registration within 10 to 15 days after sale...

In Texas you can get a 30 day temp tag no matter who the vehicle is registered to just have to have insurance on it. Cost is 25 bucks. You can also get a free 7 day tag designed for vehicle transfer from the place of sale to your home.

Also in Texas the plates stay with the vehicle not the owner but in this case there were no plates on the car when I got it which I didn't realize till I got it home.

Why could I not see the oil pressure guage in the video.

Just checked ur ebay auction. Sucks it didnt sell for u man. Seriously... clean up that interior and fix those things that make it look like a flood damaged car and i bet ull get that extra 1k.

Just tryin to help. I know someone will want it as a good starting platform... but its probably scaring people away that the miles are sooooo low, yet it looks so rough.

Yeah your probably right and the gauges on the lower left are dark because the cluster bulbs are burned out. Also there was a leak vac leak on the intake elbow when I first got the car that I fixed and I think that's why the SES light is on, I need to find my code scanner and check it out just to be sure.

I've got a guy a few hours from me coming to look at it Saturday and if he doesn't take it im gonna work on getting to cleaned up more, and the sticker crap off the outside and the radio back in it.

If u disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes it will reset the monitors. If that was ur ses issue when the monitors reset (will need about 50 miles of driving) it should have the code cleared.

Yeah I did that and the light came back on within a min or two of it running, so I hooked my code reader to it and had no power to the obd2 port so had to fix that and once I got the codes it had two codes set for the MAF, P0100 and P0103. So I removed the MAF and it's been worked over pretty good with the screen removed and the center dividers removed and it's been ported out. Cleaned it out with brake cleaner real good, let it dry and reinstalled and no more light or codes!

Well the CEL came back on today when the local guy came to look at it, s i swapped it out with another one i had after he left to go look at two other cars in town. He came back a few hours later and bought the car and the new MAF seems to be doing the trick.
