Price Drop, Removed the Strange Engineering S60 and reinstalled 10 bolt 4.10s.

Hey Guys, I'm selling my '94 Trans Am that I've owned for 7 years. The original
owner was 65 years old when he bought it. I worked with his son and bought it from him. The car is from Arizona and has been garage kept since day one. It's been stored in the winter since it came to Chicago in '07. There is zero rust on the car, the K member, sway bars, suspension and nuts/bolts still have their factory coatings and paint daubs. I have receipts for the complete maint history from day one including over 30 dealer receipts for oil changes every 3k miles.

The car was stock when I bought it except for a performance tune that my co-worker had Ion the Madtuner do. I've made my living as a Aircraft Mechanic for over 32 years and the T/A has been my fair weather hobby car. The car had 108k on it when I bought it and currently has 127k. Below is a list of the parts I've changed during that time:

Performance parts list:
GM Hotcam
GM timing set
GM oil pump drive
PAC 1212X valve springs
1992 Corvette LT1 Magnesium valve covers
SLP 1 3/4 mid length header
Spec Billet flywheel
Autozone clutch with OEM Valeo disc
American Racing TTM 17x9 with retro Pontiac Motor Division (PMD) center caps
275/40R17 BFG G Force Sport Comp 2 summer tires, couple months old

***Installed stock 10 bolt, AAM 4.10 gears, solid pinion spacer, Timken bearings and ARP wheel studs

Maintenance items replaced:
Radiator/hoses
GM heater hose/tube manifold assy
Water Pump
GM water pump drive coupling
Delphi Optispark
New seals in timing cover and rear main seal
Front brake pads
Flushed brake fluid every couple years
Headliner professionally recovered

The paint is in great shape with no peeling clear coat. Interior very good with no rips, tears or cracks. The rear quarters are afflicted with some door dings though. The engine runs great and has a Madtuner tune for the cam, headers and gear. It gets 15 mpg around town and is able to cruise 50 mph in 6th at around 1350 rpm.
In my opinion the car needs nothing but I should note that the A/C compressor and condenser have been removed.

I'm asking $4900 OBO without the S60.
Thanks for looking.
Tom

I'll be watching this thread.... every once in a while I think of selling mine.

I'm just too damn old to enjoy it the way I once did. You made the right move in keeping yours a "street" car. Going "track car" limited the fun, and means that since I haven't been to the track in a long time, I haven't driven it much. By the time it's 25 years old, and I can get "antique" plates and no inspection, I'll be senile.

Not gonna lie, I think you are asking way too little. That rearend alone is $2k, and the car is beautiful. Should sell fast I would think.

I just remember RamAir95TA trying to sell his car for I think 9k for a long time over at ls1tech. I had it listed on some other sites at $6900 with zero interest. Not sure if it was the fact that it's a LT1 or the high milage. If it doesn't sell as it sits I may put the stock parts back on and sell for less.

I think if it was a clean, stock car it may go a little easier. The average person just sees a modified car. The car enthusiast sees a car already "done" but it'd be tough to find the right person to take it off your hands.

Beautiful car, love it!

Family friend couple neighborhoods over from me sold a bone stock 97 SS with 60k or so miles for $9,900. Not even a 30th model.

It's almost winter time too. I don't know where you're from. Here in Michigan.. Hell......

Price Drop, removed S60. Reinstalled 10 bolt built with AAM 4.10 gears, solid pinion spacer, Timken bearings and ARP wheel studs.
$4900 OBO

I'm changing out the parts now cause car will be in storage in a week or so and I don't want to be swapping this stuff out in January.
