I posted this on LS1 tech because there are more "locals" there, but figured I'd put this up here too.
Anyone in the nola/baton rouge area that could help me with installing and setting up my 3.90s? I have the gears, install kit, solid pinion spacer, and TA girdle. I'm pretty sure I could handle the work myself, but I really would like some assistance and guidance for my first time doing this. I also don't have all the tools that are needed, like a hydraulic press and a pinion depth gauge (how necessary is that?) I'd hate to just wing it and ruin my new gears, but I'd rather not just have a shop do it, because I've done all the work on the car myself so far and I'd like to learn how to do this. I also have a bad pinion seal leak and would like to just take care of all of it at once. Willing to pay in cash, beer, food, or any combination of the 3.
