Hi all, my SES light is constantly on with only one code, the "manufacturer auxiliary inputs" code that is caused by my skip-shift being unplugged. It was like this when I bought the car. It appears that the connector is unplugged (not from the transmission, but the wire that runs up to the engine area. The problem is I can't find the wire/connector to plug back up so I could just buy a delete kit. The wire/connector that comes down from the PCM (I assume) is nowhere to be found, as if it were cut. Is there any way to get my code to go away? Tuning software? Thanks in advance

What's the exact code you're getting? A CAGS code (OBD2) should be P1657. Also, your pic is one of the rear O2 sensors, not CAGS.

Im assuming tuning it out would get the computer/monitors to stop looking for it... so it wont matter if the wire is mia.

Yes the code is P1657.
Yea, didn't think about that being the rear o2 sensor wire :hit: the car has an off-road ypipe so it's only running on the fronts. I guess I'll need to crawl back up under it and find the cags wire. Nice catch, Spartan7

Should be about mid-tranny, on the driver side. White plug. And yea Popo, you can completely tune it out. I don't even have a CAGS solenoid on mine.

Ok, I did some research and believe I have found the CAGS wire. It was connected to the solenoid on the side of the transmission though. I wonder how it has been disabled if it's still plugged in and there is no delete connector there. Any ideas?

I just saw your post. I guess it went up right as I was typing my last one lol. Ok, so if I can just tune it out so my SES light disappears, I won't worry about it and just do that! Thanks

Yep, that's it. All you have to do is turn off the code in the PCM and it'll never throw an SES light.
