Im looking for tuners/shops in the Midwest, that still tune OBD1 LTx vehicles. I know they are slim to none, but it doesn't hurt to ask around. I dont need a baseline tune, Id just like to refine the tune I currently have. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm in southern IL. Dustin Dillow has had a lot of success with tuning lt1's. I'm confident in tuning my own stuff but hesitant to touch someone elses. What issues do you have?

Only issue that I can think of, is the exhaust smells rich(always heard its an LT1 trait), and it seems to crank more before starting. Id just like to make sure everything in the tune, is correct and where it should be. Then, if the problems are still there, than I can look into it further. I have a MAP code that shows up from time to time, at slow speeds, but I've been told with the size of cam that I have, that I'll have that issue.

Do you have a wideband to see what the afr is at? I've seen the same map code (map high indicating no vacuum) and despite trying to tune it to make more vacuum we ultimately had to just tune it out. If you want to send me a copy of your tune I can compare it to some others to see what all has been changed and see if there's anything out of the ordinary.

I do not have a wideband or a way to send you the tune file. Unless I sent you my PCM, but that would be the only way. Where is that Dustin guy, out of?

Does Dustin do any traveling, to tune vehicles, by chance? Or does he work at a shop?

Norris motorsports from indy is great. I drove 6 hours for him. It was worth it to tune my 24x boosted car.

Did you find anybody near Springfield? I'm 20 minutes east of Springfield and will be needing my 94 tuner soon.

I know its a long shot but.... Did anyone find a somewhat local tuner? I'm 60 miles west if Chicago and will be needing tune in the spring after H/C/I. Less than 1000mi on a 20 over rebuild and it's coming back apart. Thanks in advance!
