Hey guys, I'm new to this site and have a question hopefully someone may be able to help with, so I've got a 94 lt1 z28, I just finished my 355 build and it doesn't wanna run at idle. It was punched .030 over, 1.6 roller rockers, cc503 cam, longtubes, slp catback, ported/polished heads, 58mm throttle body,, and 36# injectors, 3000 stall and 373 gears. I got the car fired yesterday, starts right up and sounds great, it will rev perfect but bucks and surges under 2500rpm. The car won't idle on its own and it just dumps fuel to the point it will fill my gargae and start burning my eyes within 45 seconds. Is this normal for a car with these mods or does it sound like something else going on? I know the stock tune can only compensate so much this is why im leaning towards this, but I'm still trying to decide on who to go with for a mail order tune to get me close. Thanks in advance for any help

Welcome
The car needs to be tuned as you stated. If you have a scan tool that will run live data you can look at timing short term and Long term fuel pramiters as well as you idel rpm. I'm not sure if the OBD1 system will let you look at the o2 sensor information.

You may also look in the tuning section of this forum and find information that will help you tune your car as well as software that will allow you to tune your if you have a lab top computer and a data link connector for your computer to interface with cars computer.
Welcome and good luck.

I have heard nothing but good things about http://www.pcmforless.net/ a friend just finished a similar build and he is very pleased with the results.
Not having a tune is compounded greatly by the 50% larger injectors.

We have a great tuner that's a sponsor MoeHorsePower.

Be very careful with running bigger injectors on a stock tune, a few of us have wiped the rings clean out of brand new builds by starting up without a proper tune.

I wouldn't even run it anymore till its tuned. There is no reason to. it has to be tuned now or later so better to get it done before you run it. I know its hard to resist but its not worth the damage that can be done.

And even if u dont... change that oil...its probably fuel soaked.

Thanks guys, its tucked back away under the cover until I hear back from one of the tuners, gonna get it sent out this week. Hopefully by next weekend I can get out and see how it feels. Got the majority of the small stuff done, now its just a matter of a tune and taking it for a spin

As stated above... we have a sponsor tuner (@moehorsepower) who has been a huge amd long time asset to LTX tuning (as well as other stuff) in a world thats forgetting about our platform.
