I jacked up the rear of my car and placed it securely on jack stands to search for some noise i was hearing coming from back there. When I let the rear wheels spin in drive, the passenger side wheel spun slower and kind of wobbled. I believe that that axle shaft is bent. I have searched and searched and i have found no information about replacing just an axle shaft. That being said, is it even possible to replace JUST an axle shaft? If so, how difficult is it? Could someone either explain it or direct me to a write up of some kind? I know that hawks third gen has axle shafts for $75 a piece, and the car is my dd, so i'd like to get it replaced ASAP.

You need to remove the brake components,
Remove the rear dif cover,
Pull the C-Clip for that side,
Slide axle out
Reassemble

What, if anything, will be different from the video when I do this on my car? This is an open diff. What differences, if any, will that cause?
