Got a 95 z28 a4.. Recently replaced my tranny.. Old one was slipping.. Before slipping no problems... On new tranny installed it won't shift at wot.. 1-2nd 2nd-3rd and well haven't tried above that.. I replaced the tps didn't change anything... Was told from the guy I bought the tranny from that it has a shift kit installed... Any clues what the issue could be?

Have you checked the tps voltage at wot? If it's too much, the computer freaks out won't let it shift. Holley throttle bodies gave me fits!!

Most likely just a tired transmission. The 4L60Es were well known for this when they get a little age on them. The "shift kit" is most likely hurting more than it's helping. These transmissions need much more than a shift kit to make them performance capable. There are too many internal issuies that need correcting. If you can get access to datalogging equipment, you can watch the TPS signal as well as seeing when the shift is being commanded. If the shift is being commanded but it's not occuring, it's in the trans. if it's not even being commanded, then it's most likely an external control issue.

The tranny only has 80k on it

most of the time these transmissions only last 100k on a stock car, less on one that is driven hard. even my bone stock babied impala at 113k the trans is on its way out

We had this problem after having our pump go, and then rebuilding it. It did the same thing, wouldn't shift on wot but as soon as you let off it would shift. We went through everything. Ours was a 94 trans, but our problem turned out to the be the pump, wrong year.
