Has anyone had a problem with the crank hub slipping with a supercharger? I was looking at the crank and it has a key way cut in the end , I was thinking about having a key way cut in the hub and installing a key to keep it from slipping. Also does anyone know a good place to get a mail order tune for a supercharger? Thanks

Keying the crank is a good idea but the real issue is the force put on the crank snout with a blower. If you are running a smaller blower and not looking for a lot of boost, it should be fine. For some insurance, look into the bbc hub and have your timing cover machined with a new seal for the larger diameter unit.

I thought the same thing, tried to find a machine shop in town to cut a keyway into my stock hub. Found nothing. So I ended up ordering this one. Works great and pretty cheap. And a lot stronger than the stock one. http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/products/Pioneer-Billet-Steel-Keyed-Crankshaft-Hub,-1996%252d1997-LT1-F%252dbody-%26-1996-LT1-Corvette-.html

Thanks for the help, I saw the Hawks hub and I will probably try it.
