4340 forged I beams

Or

H beams http://www.ohiocrank.com/hbeam_rods.html

I know that the H beams are stronger than the I beams but how much power will each one hold? I am going to spraying ~200-250 shot of nitrous ... I know the Pistons that I'm installing will hold it but those pistons require a floating wrist pin ... I want a piston rod that will handle the shot.

When I did my 355 build, I used mahle forged pistons and eagle H rods with arp 2000 rod bolts had the rings filed for a 200 HP shot. I used a GM forged crank with arp studs for the mains..

I have the same setup us as Jlo except I have the matching Eagle crank and a 6" rod. I think those I-beams would be just fine but if you can swing it get the H-beams.

I went with shorty SRP pistons and forged 6 inch I beam scat rods and scat crank . My machinist recamended all of the parts , everything was built with nitrous in mind

Always a controversial subject. Take a look at the Oliver E4340 billet I-beam rods. Strong, and relatively light. But expensive. I know they'll stand up to a 300-shot.
