Alright have a few questions about my rear end, looking for some advice and help. So the issues I'm having with it are as follows, rear end shutters when starting from a stop unless the rpms and the clutch is let out just right, under any sort of a load more then accelerating lightly enough to get moving the best way I can describe is it gets a stalling out feeling like the cars missing or has water in the fuel if that makes any sense which it also does on any sort of a grade as well. Cannot drive it in 6th because it really gets bad as far as that issue goes. It also shutters downshifting, mostly from 4th-3rd and 3rd-2nd unless really low rpm like no more then 1500. The issues while driving are somewhat inconsistent at times and there really isn't any noise that I was ever able to tell. The chatter and shuttering is extremely bad and very consistent however in reverse. I never was able to get the rear end opened up for any visual exam so all I have is what I can best describe the symptoms as.

Anybody had any similar issues before that may be able to possibly pinpoint what the problem could likely be? Also I'm wanting to get the car back with me sometime in the next couple months, would like to hopefully do an "inexpensive" fix as best as possible so I can drive the car instead of have it shipped on a truck because its going to cost $2100 jus to have it shipped and around a $500 roundtrip ticket. I'm fairly confident that I could even with fixing it make the drive for less and then be able to get a road trip with her, which I'd prefer.

What can I get a good enough center section for,and what else would I need or should I do along with it? Also how much of a pain in the ass is it to do all this, never done a rear end before. And do you need any specialty tools to do it,the reason I ask is I may or may not be able to find somewhere decent to work on the car where someone may have a decent selection of tools.

Hope I didn't drag this out to far lol Any advice, opinions, tips and help is greatly appreciated fellas!

everything youre saying sounds like transmission/clutch as opposed to rear. rears usually make crunching noises and such. without pulling the cover there is no way to know

Could be possible only thing leading me towards believing that it could be rear end issues is the transmission feels good, shifts excellent,no play movement from the shifter when in gear and last I had checked the tranny fluid looked clean and smelt fine. Clutch has a good feel to it and engages fine and seems to have plenty bite left in it. And everything all around felt good on the car when I first purchased it and haven't had any change in feel or the way clutch or tranny performs from the start of the issues to where it is now. Idk I may probably be better off in the long run just biting the bullet on shipping it and waiting until its with me since I have a place to work on it and all the tools I would need.

I agree sounds like a clutch problem 2 me. With the hydraulics the pedal will always feel the same if your pressure plate is good. So u cant really go by pedal feel.

It's your clutch mines doing the same thing. I'm swapping my clutch this weekend to fix it.

Ok so if I can ask, getting an education here cars helping me learn new lessons with first time problems:|, what with the clutch and/or why would it be having such a negative affect on normal driving when the clutch is not being used? Again really appreciate all the feedback,an sorry for the ignorance when it comes to somethings, gotta start learning somewhere!lol

Be careful I just blew up my clutch last night so I have to get it towed to my work so I can pull it apart this weekend. And the shuttering if the clutch basically slipping I would get shutter from 6 to 5 5 to 4 an so on and like you said reverse it's there also
