I'm going to a th350. The th350 I have came with the short tail. I have a 9 inch tail but need to know the output shaft length. Any help is needed asap. Also the car is a 93Z. So from my understanding the flex plate will work with my new convertor. Is this correct?

OK... The first question is, why are you swapping to a TH 350? To do a 350 swap correctly, it requires a Fitz-All conversion kit. While the 9" TH350 is the same length as the 700, the mount is in a different location. How are you mounting your torque arm? If you still plan on staying transmission mounted then you'll need a mount point on the tail housing. What do you plan on doing for a speedometer? You can't use the '93s electronic speedo with a 350 unless you use the Fitz-All kit. The Fitz-All kit comes with an output shaft that moves the speedo drive gear to the correct location. It allows the use of your original 700 tailhousing and speedo set up, as well as relocating the mount to the correct location. . The Kit is harder to find now, simply because nobody uses 350s anymore in place of 700s. They can run close to $300, and the trans has to be completely disassembled to change the output shaft.

i did a th350 swap a few years ago in my car. i built everything myself. using the stock torque arm stock crossmember, with the 9" tailhousing. im glad i did the swap and have never looked back. i dont have a spedo but oh well. i dont need one, all i need is my tach. if your good at doing a little bit of fabrication i can tell you how to do it. good luck!

If you want your speedo to work, you can use one of the front wheel sensors and do some reconfiguring in the pcm and bam, speedo works. Did this on my dads th400 swap and it works fine
