how much friction modifier?

I am attempting to change the gear oil in my rear end. The parts store sold me.friction modifier but could not tell me how much to add. Its a 7oz bottle.

If memory serves me correctly, you just pour in the whole bottle.

The Owners Manual indicates 4 ounces of GM part #1052358 limited slip differential lubricant additiven

too much and the diff wont posi, cones will slip
