Nice time, Matt! Did you get the boot?

Nope, tech was asking if I had a helmet and that was that.

I could have gone again, but decided not to.

Thanks!

Gotta remember how to launch a car decently and then sneak into the 9s before being blacklisted.

~3400lb car with a 140mph trap, HP calculators make me smile.

Just foot brake it this time?

Just foot brake it this time?

Just let off brake and hit gas.

Drag bar needs adjustment and the car needs a damn alignment  Got all summer to get dem 9s

Is the car wanting to start left/right on you? Congrats on the times.

It was to go everywhere, its chaos at its best, cept at 140mph.

Always a blast.

Ya, drag bar is all sorts of fubar'd so it wants to go off into wherever.

Once I get that dialed in I can start leaving harder.

Very nice! I bet you could have won an asspocket full of money on that run.

As far as what?

I am horribly inconsistent, and at the moment, horribly out of NHRA tech. But, should be good go to by LTX14 :) (and quicker ;) )

Care to explain? How did you set the bar up?

Care to explain? How did you set the bar up?

You preload one side to get the car to a certain stance, I usually set it with the front end up an inch or so, then get the drag bar set there. Helps you leave straight.

Drag bar = street ARB

I'm sure an unsuspecting vette or gt500 guy would have taken the bait on a bet. Would have thought they had it in the bag after no burnout. Then BAM! Camaro ass in the face

Ah yes, and the best part is its damn quiet. Open cutout is no louder than a catback car

My friend was saying the guy at the line just loudly said, "holy shit" after the turbo lit off.

Well if you decide to it not.... sit in your seat so all the suspension is loaded appropriately and have some one put a neutral load on them then make a hit... if the car wants to steer left shorten the passenger link if the case steers right lengthen the passenger link. It'll work ;)

I am sure I can figure out something or other, gotta get my burnouts better.

With the 80 do you have to lock it out in 3rd or just leave it in OD and go? What about when you put the brake on?

shownomercy
04-05-2014, 08:58 PM
I use OD

Loads dat turbo better. T-brake will be.. trans in manual 1st, hold button, launch and quickly slam up to [D]

Really hoping foot brake launch's work fine cause I don't wanna be shifting this POS.

(I run out of gear just using 1-2-3)

Is it shifting into overdrive before the stripe?

Is that what Jakes tools you to do for t braking it?

What gears in that dana. 28" tire

shownomercy

Yes, it grabs OD before the traps (I think)

And yea, thats Jake's manual D1 tBrake operation....

What's the lowest numerical gear set for a d60? I know a lot of turbo cars are 3.55 and lower. I tried getting a 3.70 gear for my shit but they have been fucking back order for months so I got a 3.89.. if it needs more guess go to a 29" tire

shownomercy
04-05-2014, 09:39 PM
3.54 is lowest, but so far, it looks like I should be fine with 3.37s, don't need more trap. Need quicker ETs.

dawdaw

Well leave that bitch under power at the line... you should have zero zero issues getting low 1.4 sixties if not better... that right there is bottom 10s high 9s there... your trap is good for 9.70s roughly .. is that turbo maxed out yet?

That mph is a easy 9.8x 9.9x range with a half way decent 60ft.
Nice pass.

Get it working you should be bottom 1.4 high 1.3's.
When we ran that mph we had 1.43 to 1.45 avg at 3700lbs.

9.90 flat. If we would have stuck with the combo we could have got it down in the 70's with some fine tuning.
