I have been asking alot of questions ab how to swap out rear end gears.I tore down that rear end in my 94 Z28.It had the 2 series carrie with a 4.11 ring & pinion.Iw as going to a 3.42.After I got it apart it had the spacer for the to put the 3 series ring on it.It pulls great but I lost all the bottom end but ive have more top end.I hope my gas mileage goes up.Thansk to everybody for all the help.

if it was a m6 i would have left the 411s in you may burn the same amount of fuel trying to get it to pull like you are accustomed to.

Glad to see you got the project completed.

It's simple math.... the 3.42's by themself make it feel like you lost almost 17% of the rear wheel torque from a stop, and you did. Plus it takes longer for the RPM to get up on the torque curve. Double hit.

Its not a M6 its the A4.you can tell a big difference in it.Its still pretty quick and I can already tell a difference in gas mileage. At 75 mph its not tached out.I keep putting the gas to it.I like it so thats all that really counts I guess.
