I've been having a minor issue with my transmission. Im sure it's a worn part but I'm hoping someone(Frank) can point me to the problem so I don't have to spent a much on parts. Now first a little backround, car is a 2000 z28 w/163K miles. Car is in great shape just high miles. The issue is during 3/4 to WOT at about 2500rpm I feels like the TC slips or line pressure drops. Basically it stalls there for a second then continues to accelerate. This happens during all up shifts. Under normal acceleration 2500rpm is where it shifts, any input is much appreciated.

Sorry, I should have typed that different. It's during all up shifts at three quarters to full throttle.

It sounds like timing or pressure issue. With that many miles, it could be that the trans is just wore out. You could put a presuure gauge on it and see if pressure is actually dropping on gear changes. What does the fluid look/smell like?

Fluid looks and smells like its good. It happens in the middle of acceleration around the 2500rpm area. It's like it hits a flats spot, catches again and keeps climbing. Do you have a payment plan frank? Haha cause I need to just have you rebuild it to your "pro race" specs. Just don't have the cash up front to do it.

That's what my 4l60 started doing. Now if you have over half throttle it acts like it goes into neutral when it goes to shift and have to let off the pedal before it catches. I was told clutches were burned out since it had 200k on it

Yep, I think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and get it rebuilt.

Well I pulled the pan yesterday. But that's as far as I got on removing the trans cause of the cold weather. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/03/nu2agyje.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/03/ydyra2ur.jpg
