Long story, I bought this car about 2 months ago in plans of parting it out. The person I bought it from signed the back of the title, but DID NOT pay sales tax or license it. So the name on the title is still in the previous owners name. I do have the title at my house though.

93 Z28 hardtop, dark green grey metallic. Was a 6 speed car. Comes with door panels, dash, carpet, and the console without the 6 speed boot insert.

You will need to bring your own wheels.

Has 3.23 rear in it.

$700 with the rear
$500 without.

LTXtech.com is my drug.my dads friends brother (I know, sounds weird) owns a salvage yard. And I'm going to see if he can get me a title. It would make it a salvage title, but would have one. He said it may have to be a running car. But would check for me.

Is the title dated by the signature? In Illinois you have 30 days to pay tax. Otherwise you can sign below his signature and the title would come back in both names. You can get a release of interest form for him to sign and get the title in your name only. Problem with all this is you will have to pay tax and license twice which in Illinois would be about $300

It doesn't sound complicated to me. I've been there at least 20-30 times in the past. If you want to get a title for it your best bet would be to file for a lost title in the guys name on the title. Then you have him sign it over when it comes in and leave it open for whoever buys it from you. Of course this would assume the PO is alive and not a dick. My 95 parts car was sold to a guy that sold it to me with a jacked up title. In the process of tracking the owner down I found out he was deceased.

Correct. I don't remember if I put it on here too, or just Craigslist. But you will need your own wheels. I have wheels, but for 3rd gens and they hit the caliper and don't move

LTXtech.com is my drug.I did read that out of context. The majority of people want a street car. But there is a small group of people out there looking for a hardtop car like this to turn into a racecar. Probably just take a while
