What's the best break in process for a spec stage 3 clutch?

Drive it around town and go easy on it. Lots of upshifting and downshifting for at least 500 miles before you try to rag on it at all. Don't do any clutch dumps and don't try to rev the piss out of it until after at least 500 miles of break-in. The more upshifting/downshifting you do, the better the break-in will be, too.

Thanks the dumps maybe difficult due to me going from stock to a puck style clutch but I'll see how it goes ad going to have to drive the piss out of it to try and get ready for a grudge race on the 7th

Yeah the puck style will make it a bit more difficult, but I'd wager that as long as you keep the RPMs on the low end when you hit it, you should be ok. I got the full face disk Spec 3+, so my break-in may be slightly different than your puck style. Maybe 96LT1355Z28 can chime in and tell me if I'm off point, here?

Yeah, regular city traffic is the best way to do a break-in cuz of stop n go and plenty of shifting. Highway miles don't count lol. You can also do it based off of average MPG, if you know what your car gets. For example, say you get 15 mpg average, 500 miles into 15 mpg = 33.3 gallons of gas to run through, aka roughly 3 fill-ups or so (I usually fill up when I'm 10-12 gallons empty).

No idea on mpg since of the cam and tires the odometer never worked I just go to about a 1/4 tank and fill it up

Exactly what Blackbird96WS6 said, stop and go up shifting and down shifting, and no WOT pulls till whatever miles the clutch kit says. Some are different on the break in period so each kit will have install and break in instructions. Make sure you have the flywheel surfaced and keep everything clean (sometimes really hard!) when installing. Improper break in's, and or dirty/greasy FW surface/PP are the main causes of clutch failure.
With the Spec 3 it's gonna have some chatter, while it's still a sprung hub the pucks will not engage as smooth as a full faced disc like the 3+. It's just a matter of learning how to drive differently especially if your used to stock engagement clutches.

Cool thanks again guys the grudge race got pushed back to march since he needs to put parts so I'll have plenty of time to brake in the clutch

Sounds good, I certainly wouldn't want to race on a brand new clutch not fully broken in yet for fear of having to replace it again lol.
