I'm just wondering who the best person is toccontact for a mail order tune. I'm also switching to speed density because I have gone through 3 mass air flow sensors and none of them have turned off my service engine light. Thanks for the help in advance.

not sure on the mail order tune, but i had my harness connector for my maf crap out, depending on how its all routed it can be pretty damn tight and can put some strain on the wires.

i got a replacement from painless i believe.

I've dealt with Madtuner and Moe Bailey in the past, both in my book are top notch.

I've heard quite a bit of good things from Solomon, lt1pcmtuning.com. I actually just sent my PCM off today for a tune. Very reasonable price also.

Solomon did my base tune. He really knows how to do things the correct way vs band aiding it. I've learned a lot from him.

Not to take away from a sponsor, but I also had Solomon do my tune, it was email tune. Runs great, fixed my speedo being off with the gear change. Plus the extra tunes to get things fine tuned is awesome. I did fry my PCM 2x loadin the tune since my battery was dropping voltage as soon as the fans would kick on. So I also had firebird_1995 up above send me a PCM that has removable prom chips so next time I break it I'm not dead in the water!

The main thing I'm worried about is switching to speed density. I need my emissions tuned out to. Just curious on the pros and cons of mass air flow and speed density. I'm getting tired of trying to find why my mass air flow is throwing a code.

What code(s) are you getting exactly?

I don't remember the exact codes. I'll scan it after I get my water pump on. Some other codes I was throwing was a timing code, EGR code (I deleted my emissions), and a skip shift code. I know 2 of that aren't to much to worry about but the timing and mass air codes are the ones I'm most worried about. I'm pretty sure my timing code was the p1371. It's been awhile since I have checked them so I could be wrong.

Hey just wanted to chime in with another Solomon tune! He just did mine and it really woke the car up. I was surprised at the difference! He knows exactly what he is doing on the ltx.

Just ordered one from mad z28 today... I will never deal with pcmforless ever again.

Would have loved to try someone on the forums or lt1tuning but I needed a new computer anyway.

I'd like to talk to someone about tuning. Just need somethings cleared up and explained. I really want to keep business here on the forum so I will be contacting sweet z28.

I had mine tuned in person by Moe, he really knows his stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to have him tune it via mail. Stay away from PCM For Less.

Ion at madtuner did my base tune for the 24x conversion. It was a little rich but that was to be expected.

I've always heard great things about Ed Wright ( www.fastchip.com ). That's who I plan on using after I get my car back together.

That's always nice when the tuner explains what he is doing instead of just saying here try this tune. Communication is key.

I like to help people understand what I am doing to their tunes to change a characteristic of how their car is running. Most of us on here have the mechanical ability to work on our cars, and I think we all should also understand what is going on with the electronics on the Powertrain as well. Many of us have tunercats or tunerpro so it's easy to just get on the phone and explain the changes I make.

after many months of hitting walls talking to MANY tuners and getting turned away, Finally Bill @ BP Automotive @green96ta (http://ltxtech.com/forums/member.php?u=1497) was able to help me out with a base line tune. not sure if its something he advertises but, again he has saved my build.

@sweet-94z28 (http://ltxtech.com/forums/member.php?u=5854) i was not aware that we had another tuner on here
