I finialy got my long tubes put on and got the BBK shorties off...(worst header I have ever had to work around) but now it seems like my O2 sensors are not reading right.
The left bank is staying on about .400mv and the right is hanging around .600-.800 Also the car is not entering closed loop.
The sensors were stuck in the old headers pretty good so I had to get them out with a air hammer lol.
Im guessing I messed them up?
What would a normal reading be?
Also I cant seem to pull enough timing out of this thing to keep it from maxing the knock sensor out, I have it set at 5deg and every time I got WOT it pulls all the timing it can.
Even with both problems the car still runs a smooth as I could possibly ask for, it idles great and has 0 rough spots thought the whole powerband. If I didn't have the datalog I would think it was running perfect

How did you extend your harness to connect to the o2 sensor pigtails? I could see where they may be damaged from removing them like that so some replacements may be in order.
As for the knock, what have you tried so far? (Replaced knock sensor, fixed exhaust leaks, etc)
What mods do you have done to the car?

I spliced in about 8" of wire on each sensor and used heat shrink butt connectors.
I didn't notice before I cut the wires that there are 2 brown wires so I looked up the wiring diagram and one is hot in and 1 is ground on the heating element, So im guessing it should work either way.
I had a slight exhaust tick with the shorties so I was hoping once that was gone the knock would be good, Now I have NO exhaust leaks and its still maxing out.
Mods
CC503/valvesprings
1.6 roller rockers (It doesn't sound like any are loose)
longtubes with a thrush glasspack dumped before rear axle
that's it

The wiring on the o2 sensor circuit is very sensitive. If you didn't cut up the harness side of the wiring, do yourself a favor and pick up a pair of fastbirds o2 extensions. They are worth the money, I assure you. On my dads camaro we were having a lot of weird o2 issues that were healed with a pair of delco o2's and his extensions. Roller rockers can make noise that a knock sensor mistakes as knock. What brand are they?

The LTs aren't making contact anywhere are they? I had a little higher knock count when I went solid motor mounts also.

I plan on getting the extensions when I get the money
The rockers are proform
I did hear a slight thud when I first get on the throttle and I think its either the y pipe or the header making contact with something but it only does it with a good jerk of the throttle or if I let out on the clutch fast. Ill check that out tomarow

should I bump the max knock retard up to like 15deg just to see how much it actually wants to pull?
Also the BLM is stuck on 128 and not moving like it did before

I would. Won't hurt for a quick log to see how far it wants to pull.

cool ill try that tomorrow and see what happens.
Also I was just looking back over my logs and noticed it shows left o2 sensor NOT READY and right o2 READY
Maybe I can get away with just replacing the left , Ive got a buddy that works at napa and he said he can get me one for $28.
Im just trying to get it in shape enough to make a few runs at the track tomorrow night.

I found 2 wires knicked on my right o2 sensor, right up against the sensor itself. I taped them & pulled the jacket over them and my car went into closed loop on Tunerpro RT. IMHO if ya replace one, replace both of 'em...I never replace just one spark plug...lol.

Ok I found the y pipe hitting and beat the subframe away from it a little bit and its not contecting anymore, I bumped the knock retard up to 15deg and made 2 runs.
the first run it pulled about 7.5-8 deg and the second run pulled 12-13deg?
I got a new o2 sensor for the left bank and its working good now but the right bank is acting up so that one should be here by lunch today.

Hey didn't you have a really low maf reading too? Post up a good datalog and let's take another look at this. Just spitballing here but if its reading less air than its taking in, it would be fueling for less air and therefore be too lean. You may have a bad maf sensor or the maf tables could be off.

ok I just went to the track and only was able to make 1 pass because my clutch is slipping to bad, It hasn't been sliping any on the street but I guess trying to launch from a dead stop is a whole different ball game.
Ill try and convert the file so I can put it on youtube or something

I sent you my data log, I just noticed its still not entering closed loop for some reason, the new O2 sensors are reading great though.
