A local site that I am (http://need2speed.com) had one of it's Dead Hookers private track rentals this past Sunday. It is like a test and tune, but you must pre pay for your spot and it is a slick and drag radial only event. That way there are no jack ass's tearing up the track in 4x4 trucks, mommies minivan, or a stock honda.
Steph and I had a blast. We did not run any of our cars , but my good friend John (metalhead131) let me run his 04 Cobra all day (I set a trap speed record in his car at 130 MPH with a ported Eaton and only an upper pulley) Here are my slips:

With a little supension work and a harder launch, I think that we are going to go for the port/upper pulley only ET record with the car too.

That's a heckuva job for those mods and those 60' times. :rockon: The car is either making a decieving amount of power, or it has some very significant weight reduction. What track were you running at?
To the best of my knowledge, no upper only Eaton car has ever trapped 130+ in the 1/4 mile. I believe Almo came pretty darn close with his heavily weight reduced, unported setup, But I believe he was running the 2.93/6lb combo when he hit his 130.

Looks like some really nice cars, and I recognized a few. I saw Louvit's car on page 2.

Living in sunny Florida does have some advantages;)

It is at Bradenton Motorsports Park.

I wish that i could take credit for the pics, but Carguy1985 is the one that took and hosted them.

I will probably be heading back to the track sunday so Steph can finally get to make some passes in the LT1 Camaro. I'll be running a friends 01 GT tring for a 12 second N/A pass and an 11 on a 100 shot. The engine is stock from TB to oil pan with some exhaust, gears, suspension, and slicks, we'll see.

i fucking love cobras. i got a chance to play with my friends pullied, catbacked, cai cobra. that thing pulls sooo hard.

on a side note what do u think hes making to the wheels?

It made 496 SAE (512 uncorrected) with a stock 2 1/4" cat back forth flowmasters welded in (shitty!) and the best it trapped before was 120 (it also had hevier wheels and an IRS).

Now it has an slp LM catback and it seemed to really un cork it on the top end. It probably makes areound 520RWHP now.

Nice runs. Looked like it was a good time. An 03/04 Cobra is on my list of cars to buy. Probably the only Mustang I would ever own. They are fun cars for sure!
