Trying to get the right ring and pinion for my ta want to go with a 4:10 but don't know if I have a 2 series or 3 can anyone help me out

What are the factory gears?

A 2 series carrier is a car that came with 3.08s or lower from the factory (i.e. 2.73 cars). A 3 series carrier is a car that came with 3.23s or higher.

Yea I have 3, 23s now but changing my carrier to an open s10 carrier so I can do a mini spool

So what gear set would I need to get if I'm going with a 96 open carrier from and s10 2 series or 3 series
