So hopefully the car will be fixed this week....and if it is...Im having my chromoly DS lengthened so I can replace that aluminum ls1 ds...

But...

Should I not even think of racing it without an SFI bellhousing?

Are your legs and feet worth the cost?

IVe never complained about cost...or made it a deciding factor....its not.

What is...is the amount of time between now and the gtg....which i doubt I will have enough to get it and install it.....

MEMBER @ LTXtech.comI'm not saying it's a matter of cost...some people wouldn't give it a second thought. What are the chances the clutch will explode as little as you race. But, having seen first hand what happens to a car and more importantly human limbs, it's not a gamble I'm willing to take anymore.

Clutch explosions are no joke. The power your making just increases the chance of something happening. Imo I wouldn't race without one.

I gambled a couple seasons with a stock bell housing and the worry of the clutch exploding was always in the back of my mind. While it's unlikely the clutch would explode, if it does, who knows how bad it will be. For $500, my legs and feet are worth it.

Blackbirdws6 I gambled for a few years untill I saw the pics of Tanners ordeal. As soon as they were available my car got the new bellhousing. I wasn't/ still aren't making near the power you car is, I would not race without it.

Yup. When I changed my rear main seal, I figured there was no better time to toss in the SFI bellhousing.
