My current setup is a Tick master cylinder with a new OEM slave. I'm looking to change my slave to a unit that has a bleeder screw, the only one on the market looks like the aftermarket unit from McLeod. I want to do this so I can flush the fluid when it becomes black/dirty. I've only got about 4000 miles on my new setup but most of them have been WOT and very aggressive driving lol! I noticed my fluid has become black pretty quickly and I spent an hour this past weekend sucking the dark fluid out of the master reservoir and refilling with fresh, which doesn't get all the dirty fluid out of the line, slave and master. The McLeod unit has a bleeder screw which would allow me to flush the line and the master easily. The McLeod slave is a 3/4" bore and I want to be sure that the OEM slave cylinder has the same size, I don't want my master to slave ratio to change so I can keep the same pedal engagement. I've already called McLeod and they couldn't tell me if their slave was the same bore size as the OEM LT1 slave. Any suggestions?

I had mine out last week. If it's not 3/4 its pretty close.

Thanks Ryan, I figured it was but haven't been able to find a definite bore size listed anywhere for the OEM slave. What are all you other guys doing to clean up your hyd fluid, is there and easier way?

I honestly rarely change mine. If I do I just pull the line off the slave (ran an AN line for clutch ).

Seems like LT cars don't burn up fluid like LS cars. They have totally different slave designs. They have theirs right in the heat.
