I'm picking up this little gem next week. What I need to know is when I slap the 4.10's in this thing what do I do about speedo recalibration? I've read doing so through the tune isn't going to cut it. I've also read about speedo gears in reference to autos. Can you do this for the manuals as well?

Nope. The drive and driven gears are only in the automatics. Really you've only got two options. The Dakota Digital SGI-5 Speedo recalibration box or a recent appearance, the Autometer GPS speedo recalibrator. Jaysz2893 is using the Autometer with success. I have installed the SGI-5 multiple times with success.

the gps can be least painful.. but... it does not pick up the signal right away so you may drive a few miles with no speedo or odometer.

The SGI-5 goes in very simply, PCMForLess has some instructions buried on their website that shows you how to use the C220 connector to integrate. Literally only takes about 30 minutes to install, rough calibrate, then use your phone to fine tune the road calibration based off what you're seeing on the phone using a GPS speed app.

Took me 15 min to install and calibrate the GPS one. Calibration is done while stationary. You basically teach the unit the number of pulses it needs to output. Either is a great product and both have good and bad features. Sux that we 93 cars have to have all the weird stuff
