My poor formula. Anyone tried to fix similar damage or do ya think its toast? I went over a couple hillsides and big ass tree stumps. It has the floorboard pretty bent out of shape, and the front tire o. The drivers side is smashed into the fender.

23307Here's the underside. The rear bracket that connects frame rails. It got pretty hard when I came back down from my dukes of hazard jump! It is still raining outside so this afternoon ill get the car up and get some better pics. Just trying to get an idea of what u guys think about a possible repair.

Book value is low...its all gonna depend on insurance estimate.
60-80% of value will total it.

I can't tell if something is bent my hood doesn't wanna close w/out really pushing on it. And the fender on the driverside is against the door so the door doesn't wanna open w/out hitting the fender.

The floor was rusted pretty bad to begin with I saw it the day I bought the car but didn't realize it was as bad as it is. He had a piece of sheet metal riveted to basically hold everything together. But good news i guess is there's a lot of stuff that's still good on the body/interior. So if I tear everything apart and hold onto engine, trans, rear end (already has 3.73s) and pcm since I just got a socketed one. I should have enough to pick up a good shell.

Well I was really hoping on climbing under and checking the extent of damage, and also popping that wheel off to see there as well but I have so much going on now. Ugh. It's first on my list tomorrow morning. I'll get some more pics up as I tear it down(hopefully to put back together) but not counting on it. One thing that does look kinda promising is the door gaps and everything still seem okay on the passenger side. And behind the door on the drivers side. Fingers crossed but I've been searching the classifieds. Also if anyone knows of a roller let me know I'd like a t/a this time around. I'm in south western pa. Bout an hr east of Pittsburgh.

Beat me 2 posting about finding one. Lol. Actually both two cars will get to live again. I kinda wanted a white one to begin with, the red has really grown on me tho. But the couple if 4th gen birds that are still around most are red 2 or 3 black ones but no whites. So it will be different. Depending on how far gone paint really is I may redo white. I have a good bit of foremist orange metallic from painting our grand am too. Descisions descisions. Hate changing colors tho so much extra work. Hey Chris I forgot to ask what color white is that now?

I started trying to tear some things off today. I would like to find the engineer who decided it would be a good idea to put a big torques bolt underneath the headlight housing. Took me almost an hr and a half to get em out. Ugh. I am looking forward to a ttop lt1 car. But after seeing how easily the floors crumple I am def. investing in the subframe connectors. Lol

I kinda wish there was a camera somewhere around so I could at least have a video of my jump. I'm sure it looked pretty cool. All I seen was hill, sky, dirt, sky, neon. Oh shit!!!! Sux that the bird is dead but at least I found a good roller for a price that I can swing pretty quickly. He is supposed to get a power washer to clean all the grime from sitting, and get me some pics of paint, inside and underneath. So I can see what I'm gonna be working with and what I am gonna need from mine. And what I can put on the classifieds and get some of my money back. Think the new car I'm gonna name the pheonix

Nothing plug your 94 pcm into the 96 harness or 95 harness. Go on shbox.com and double check the inside connections are the same for your 95 harness if you choose to use that. 94 harness has a bunch of differences in more than one engine harness to body connector, and i am dealing with the same thing. Its gonna be a pain if u go that route

I'm diggin it man. Can't wait. I'll make a build thread once I get down there and pic the car up. I am gonna start breaking down the formula this weekend. So anyone need any body pieces most of it is still good. The front bumper is cracked but its easily fixable. Rear bumpers good doors are good hoods good. I'm not sure about interior stuff that i will need so ill put everything in the classifieds once I go thru and see what all I need and don't. If u are in need of something ask I may have it.

I have been crazy busy over the last few days. Not sure if anyone cares. LOL. figured I'd throw an update out. I pulled some things off the formula. Not much tho I am in the process of getting my impala back on the road. I also smashed this one a few yrs ago. Being drunk and stupid...And trying to get together the gas money and trailor money to run a good few hrs to pick up the other T/A. But I will not let the LTX die!!! Gotta say I've had a shitpyle of cars over the past 14yrs and the 3rd and 4th gen birds/camaros are by far the funnest best looking cars on the road!! Hopefully this weekend I should have the imp back rolling and I can focus on getting things rolling with this transplant/build!!!

I always liked the look of them. I was looking to do something different. There used to be a giant shitpyle of these but I only ever seen 1 other one actually done up. I think that's y most cop stations went right back to the crown Vic. Take one good hit in these and nothing left and it take a shop a wk to fix even ligh damage. I know as many welds as I got on this thing the front gets wrecked again, I damn sure ain't gonna be the one to cut it out. The 3.4 seems to stay going better or there not as beat up. Most of the older ones from like 00-02 are 3.4s.
I just noticed is that rear quarter of the car in front a Camaro. And is that a actual pic or an Internet find?

I kinda figured the aluminum front frame would be another weak link. I been kicking around the idea when the 3.4 does die in a few more yrs I may try to find a wrecked 08 or so SS with the ls4 and do a v8 swap. I've seen it done b4. Looks like a hell of a log of work tho. I am getting antsy tho wanting to go pick up the trans am that Chris is gonna sell me!! I got a couple more weekends then I should have enough cash to make the drive to pick it up. If all goes well this weekend the imp should be pretty much back together and I can start tearing the formula down. I will start another thread In the build section when I start tearing down and doing the rebuild.
