I have a 4l60e that was in my 94 camaro , and was built by artcarr . I no longer have the car but keep all the goody's. Now years later im starting another build with a 95 camaro.
I know that a 95 4l60e has pwm and a 94 dosent ,so in order to get a 94 transmission to work in a 95 car I would have to get the pcm reprogrammed to 94 car and some wiring changes. The other option would be program the 95 to a 6 speed car and get a stand alone system for the trans . would these be the only options to make my trans work, also did some early 95 cars not have the pwm converter . thanks

To install a '94 4L60E into a '95, you would just have to swap to a '94 computer...

Couldn't you just add the extra solenoid and let it lay in pan so the 95 sees it. Really the only difference between the two transmissions. I believe.

Some less than reputable shops will try to mismatch parts. You can technically istall a PWM solenoid in a '94. The valve body is drilled for it...but, the TCC control valve, seperator plate, internal wiring harness, and pump are all different between the 2 years too. It's not alot of fun to change a 4L60E wiring harness in the car either...LOL.

Right, didn't mean was correct way. Well just as correct as the 94 in the 95 i guess, but cheap and easy way. I don't think the 95 cares if it is doing anything, just needs to see that the solenoid is present.

From what I read, the trany is out, so only take 10 minutes to swap out harnesses.
