Have any of you done the drill mod on your LT1 hydraulics? Since I'm swapping in my T56 and already have my master cylinder out, I figured I would drill out my line. I just wanted to know if it was worth the time or if there were any real risks. Thanks guys

Summit sells the fittings to go from our mc and slave to a -3an line. Get those and a premade -3 with a 90 on one end and you're set. Never have to worry again. Just IMO

I thought the drill mod was only for the LSx guys with the hydraulic setup because it necked down at the end of the pipe. IIRC you drill that pipe opening out to the actual width (remove the tapered end in other words) to allow more fluid. But again, I thought this was an LS1 guys mod.

I know that the LS1 guys have a lot of restriction with their hydraulics, but some threads I have looked through said that the LT1 hydraulics also had some restriction that the Drill Mod would help with. I guess if no LT1 guys have really had issues with shifting then it must be fine.

LT1's don't need the drill mod. Our stock pedal is a lot heavier than LS1's, their hydraulics just plain suck.

Been wondering about this as well because I remember reading about this some place and was going to look in to it for my car but it looks like I wont need it.

Agreed with above, I looked into this and the "drill mod" is for the LS cars. Our systems are capable of flowing more fluid than theirs.
