How big of a POS is this hood I might buy.

I mean, $250 I might take the gamble...
college student. Feels bad man.

It will need a lot of work to get paint ready.
Im sure after shipping you will be 100 short from getting a TruFiber hood to you. Which is a good well known company. I got a TruFiber hood in my TA from WS6store.com. And the fit and finish was excellent.

dat hood.
I don't doubt that it may need some sanding before it's ready, I just don't want to get a half ass POS

I did some research on this hood last night. And reviews are mixed. Some got ok hoods. some got hoods that seperated. But all of them did take fiberglass work to look good.
IMO wait and get one like the TruFiber. You will spend less in the long run.
My hood fit perfect with no odd gaps. And is strait enough all i got to do is scuff it and shoot with paint. And cost 495.00 shipped

My dad got a hood from them... He didn't wait more than a week before painting and he got bubbles in the fiberglass from not letting it air out awhile... the hood was literally popped out of the mold while we were standing there to pick it up. Overall I thought it was a good quality hood, regret that we didn't let it sit and air out longer though.

So I should buy it, then let it sit in the sun for a few weeks to let it cure.
How bad was the fitting

We adjusted it as best we could without knowing what we were doing, but I didn't think the fitment was that bad:

Corners in the back stuck 2 inches high past fenders, front middle of the hood sat 1.5 inches low, hood was very wavy. I was told by multiple shops to throw it away cause it would take over 1k to fit even close and would never be perfect.
Also under high speed the hood would actually flex and it ended up cracking.

Since it was a 4 inch cowl, they probably didn't have enough structural support on the inside... something like a standard ws6 hood that I posted above wouldn't see the same stress that a 4 inch cowl would. Not excusing their work, but just saying if someone wasn't buying a 4 inch cowl they'd see very different results.
