I was looking at Dart Pro 1 200cc heads, and they seem cheaper for sbc, and I was thinking of having them sent in and having them adapted for LT1 cooling and oiling, and plus I can put a sbc style intake manifold. Could I have a low profile supercharger sbc manifold put on and run an Eaton low profile supercharger? Any one done that yet?:face_shocked:

I'm pretty sure it's been done but I may be wrong. I could have swore I've seen pics of it at one time.

That guy did his own custom setup, and a company called dragon race engineering had a kit at one time, but I don't see it on their website anymore.

Its a shame that guy didn't go into production. That is a beautiful setup and I'm sure he could have at least sold enough to offset his own production costs.

That's an interesting thought......SBC heads converted to LTx, run a Vic E Jr, carb style throttle body, and blower. But, it's GOING to stick out of the hood. I don't see any way it would fit under it.
Alvin @ PCMForLess did a roots blower on his 93 Formula a long time ago. Here's a thread though links seem to be dead: http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/forced-induction-10/video-roots-car-212148/
This isn't Alvin, but I just found it after some searching. Alvin's setup was similar but much more refined.

If you had converted SBC heads, you could bolt on a 4,6,or 8-71 and have the injectors above the rotors like this....

I considered going this route but one of the biggest drawbacks (that I can see anyways) is the inability to cool the charge air with a blower bolted directly to the intake manifold. I couldn't get alvins pics to load but check out this guy...

That's EXTREMELY innovative thinking that guy used to make that setup. WOW. But.........boy, did it sound like a firetruck was on his ass or what on decel?

Yea. He said the reason it sounded like that is because he had the throttle body downstream of the blower. Off throttle, the blower is pushing air past the blades.
