Can Moe do a baseline FI tune? I've got a 2 bar tunercat definition file from tunercat, but I've never tuned with forced induction before.

He has done mail order for me before...actually several times.... Then we worked from there on the dyno.

U gonna be obd1 ?

Yes sir. And most likely dropping the maf and running SD only as it seems like most guys do.

i'm actually in a similar situation. i also will be needing a tune soon. i bought a tune from madtuner for my previous setup which was bolt ons and a dry kit. now with my new engine i have installed a cam and valve train. im looking to swap to a larger injector and i'd like to have a mail order or an email tune first sent to me, mostly so i can have the time to fix all the little things that i'm sure will need to be done with out the car over compensating and running super rich. the problem i've been having is madtuner is basically no help with this and just has refered me to his website for info which doesn't really answer my questions.

which software is easy to use and other tuners use?
what tuning cable is best?
does the pcm need to be socketed?
will 30, 36, or 42 be in my best interest?
stock pump?

The 94-95 ecms are flash eprom meaning they can be tuned and returned without chips. I've always used akm cables with good success.

How big a shot are you running? What's the specs on the cam? Converting over to a wet kit could save replacing injectors depending on what you have already

On cats website site they have the tuning kits that included software and hardware.

i've heard and seen lt1's take quite a pounding when it comes to spray. i know a wet kit would be the better and is always the better choice. i planned on running 75-100 shot dry before the maf, mostly because i already have a plug and play kit [for the most part]. but then again i may just bite the bullet and purchase the rest of the parts i need to finish off a wet kit.

the cam is i want to say the second largest llyod elliot cam ~.58x lift with headers and some bolt ons. from what i have read i should be fine with 30 lb ford svo injectors should handle the hp and fuel demands.

also, if i use tuner cats to upload tunes, can it then be edited with different software when i take it in to get tuned when i find a tuner that will answer a phone

ALSO, sorry for thread hijacking, but nothing wrong with a little open discussing. right? we all have screen names to direct are comments to the right person.

tuner cats is an editing software

unis
01-16-2013, 11:56 AM
yes i already know that. i was asking if you edit with one software can you edit over that soft ware with a DIFFERENT program.

chile

Yeah as long as the program is unlocked. Like lt1 edit and the one that's on our site.

Think of the computer as a slutty girl..and each tuning software as johns. as long as they have the right cable, they can all get in.

I've always wanted to JUST get some datalogs, that I can send to my tuner, then upload the revised tune. What do I need for JUST that?

I've had great experience with PCMFORLESS and Ed Wright.
