So here I am driving this extreme around and I like it but hate the little 2.2 that's in it. Runs perfect and everything now the head gaskets done. Thinking how much I want another camaro but have to have a truck for work. My wife doesn't have a car so I came to the conclusion no matter how much I want a camaro in 6spd I really can't. My wife refuses to drive stick and 2 kids in a camaro would be a pain for her if she had to drive it while I had my new frontier off at work. Then it dawned on me.

LT swap the s10.

So I'm now looking around seeing people are doing it with awesome results.

Time to start researching the specifics, getting a list together and a budget.

What do ya guys think?

Here is the ride as of now.
Im only $2550 into it and it books for $5800.

Seems like a perfect swap candidate for me. Personally, no matter how much I hated the current engine; I couldn't swap a running driving engine without a second DD. I have a 94 GMC Jimmy 4x4 that I drive as my DD and god forbid that engine go; cause it would get an LT w/ a Astro AWD Tcase.

Id flip the s10 and buy one with a bad engine. Better yet, find you an Oldsmobile bravada. Its an awd suv that shares the blazer frame. I've seen a few of those swapped

Yea that's the other question is should I just sell it and take the cash lol. Or just sell the drivetrain out of this to fund the swap. Don't know if it would be easy to find another extreme with a bad motor.

That's exactly what I'd want an LTx swap in. S10 Extreme. Flare side for me though....those look awesome like that.

Yea I wish this was a stepside. If I do go ahead with this truck I'm thinking of 5thgen camaro ss wheels.

Its a clean truck, flip the truck and buy a clean one with higher miles, use the profit you made from the other one to fund the project. But you might want to get another vehicle. Some swaps are straight forward, but you always run into something unexpected.

Wow, this is so ironic, I joined the site today to get info on swapping an LT into a S10.

I got some C 6 Corvette wheels for my xtreme... spacers are awesome... lol

Four c6 18x9.5 fronts. 255/35zr18 fronts and 295/35zr18 rears... ironically came off a 4th Gen lol. Only paid 550 with brand new tires.

I'm really hoping I get some good tax money back this year. I really want to swap this thing.

The only concern I think is the exhaust. I've seen two header chooses. Either small diameter in frame or large diameter over the frame. I don't know if somebody else makes another style.

Yea there is a butt load of header choices. Short mid and long and of course the design. Some manufacturers go inside the frame some outside some both lol.
