Does that pan have a suggested pickup part number to be using with it?
That pickup is nuts lol. I run a Canton SBC pickup on my Melling 10554 pump and it bolted right on to the pump with a much smaller profile then that pickup you have. It was around 20-25 bucks IIRC.

That is the suggested pickup for it. With the 10552 there really is not a lot of choices for pickups since it uses a 2 bolt flange. It not a press fit.

Wont work. You should use the pickup the pan manuf suggests. You having that pump is not going to give you options that will fit properly for that pan. I use the same pan but with morroso pickup. I use a standard volume high pressure mehling select pump. Morroso pickup is a slip fit but bolts to the pump body.

I have that same pan but used a different setup. I'm selling the pump and pickup that came with it if you're interested. http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/parts-sale-14/30-injectors-lca-relocaton-brackets-hv-oil-pump-pickup-869673/

I have a morose pan with the suggested pickup for the pan. I had the same issue with the pan not wanting to clear. After about 30 minutes of fighting it I got it to go. Don't know what I did or the magic angle of the dangle. But it went.

I would definitely suggest switching to a 10554 to use a standard style pickup, plus less wear on your oil pump drive which can be a problem on our cars. If you don't want to spend the money though, the first pickup you linked 20-21 will work with your setup, maybe with a small notch needed.
I think I used PN 20-23 for the pickup, but I have a Canton pan. I would go with whatever pickup that Moroso says to use with their pan.

Pick up for the Melling select standard volume high pressure pump is moroso 24213. While they say it will fit a stock replacement pump, it in fact does not. I had ordered the pick up and had a brand new stock oem pump and the pick up diameter is different than stock. It does however fit the melling sellect HP std vol pump. That is the exact set up i have in that pan. You will have to clearence the pan as noted in the instructions that did come with your oil pan. It tells you exactly where to cut the lower blank off for the pump.

Let me double check what i ordered and let you know for sure. Pump is right but now i am second guessing 24213 pick up or if i got the 24212.
