Im trying to get a list of what's needed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I bought a complete swap today. Clutch, trans, pedals, etc.

What do I do about wiring harness? Anything I need to prepare for?

fly wheel, clutch, trans crossmember, top consoul.

pretty sure you need to get the ecuprogrammed for the M6. not for sure on that but sure someone will chime in on that.

Need the plug that goes to the solenoids I do believe or is it the reverse lights.... anyways one pigtail of wiring goes to the t56 that's different than the 4l60e

off the top of my head.....

lt1 t56
flywheel/clutch
pedals
hydralics
crossmember
m6 ecu or reflash
console
shifter
another rear end or new gears

There is trimming on the trans tunnel and some wiring involved to. I used to have a write up saved but the link is dead.

Wow, I guess have my work cutout. I can still get the crossmember from the guy and shifter plate. I can flash the computer, I think.

Issues I see are wiring like stated above and possibly the flexplate.

I have a 383 so how does that work addressing the flywheel/flex plate? Wont that screw up engine balance?

Gonna be first manual install I have ever done by myself. Prob a winter project....

the flex plate wont throw your balance off. every LT1 was identical at the factory. some just got the A4 others the M6.

ow and just get a umi or bmr crossmember. it will be way better in the long run. and takes stress of the tail housing. they don't cost that much at all.

I've done three of these swaps and the biggest headache is the cut on the fire will, bolt down the m6 pedals and install the brake master and line the holes up to drill for the mounting of the master. Use a piece of cardboard to make a template of the slave and make sure the hole it as perfect as possible and DO NOT leave any square corners cause over time you will tear your firewall.. Take your time.

The guy who built my engine used a 400sbc flywheel and balanced the balancer to match, I think... I had to buy a new starter for that flywheel... He was an old school dirt track engine builder....

Yes talk to your builder and have him balance your new fly wheel to match your engine properly.

What rear end is in your car?
you may need to swap the gears to 3.42 up more

good deal, you should only need a VsS sensor pigtail, one other pigtail, clutch setup, trans, master and slave cylinder, pedals.
