First off, I really hate to sell this car. I put so much money, work, time and effort into this car. It was my first car and I babied it since I got it April 2011. I'd like to get $3,500 for it. The only reason I'm selling it is to get a Trans Am v8.

1997 Pontiac Firebird 3.8L v6 Automatic with 145,4XX miles on the speedometer.

It gets around 27MPG on the highway and about 19-20 in the city.

Maintenance
-3,000 mile oil changes with Mobil 1 High Mileage Full Synthetic Oil and AC Delco Oil Filter
-New Spark Plug Wires (Accel 9045 Heat Resistance Wires)
-New Spark Plugs (NGK Spark Plugs TR55GP)
-New GM Coil Packs
-New Deka Maintenance Free Battery
-New Coolant Temperature Sensor
-New Window Wipers
-New Rear Tires last year (85% tread left)
-New Turn Signals and Bulbs
-New Radiator and GM Coolant
-New Driver Side Window Motor
-New Headlight Motors

Good
-Strong Engine and Transmission (Shifts Smooth)
-T-Tops that don't leak with Aftermarket T-Top Shades (to block the sun)
-5% Window Tint
-3.42 Posi Rear End
-Flowmaster 80 Series Exhaust with Stainless Steel Exhaust Tips (Lows Revs -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=Byxo7PqOlZ4) (High Revs -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeVDaTVVd3U)
-Honeycomb Tail Lights
-Side Skirts and Rear Bumper Ground Effects
-Awesome sound system, this will only be included if I get my asking price, I paid $425 for the package (www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYfE6qWVDWo)
-HID Fog Lights (http://i.imgur.com/VCDEW.jpg)
-Firebird Custom Logo'd Rugs
-Recently hand waxed
-VATS Bypass (read about it online...)

Bad
-Headliner started to fall around the T-Tops, I used adhesive glue, it's holding up but the liner is crinkled where I glued it.
-Dash Pad is cracked ONLY on the top, this is VERY common for 4th Generation Firebird / Camaros
-A/C does NOT work, it has a LEAK, I can not find it. The A/C system does work and blow cold air but once the freon leaks out, it doesn't. The leak needs to be found and repaired.
-Front Tires soon need replacing
-Small oil leak coming from the Rear Main Seal, loses about 1/2 a quart between oil changes.
-Paint Job is great and shines, I get a lot of compliments on it, but the only bad thing is the passenger side quarter panel has some spider webbing and is fading a little bit. It should shine if you buff and polish it. I'm no body man though.

It's a great car, never let me down or stranded. It shines great, paint looks great, interior is in excellent shape and it has an awesome sound system. It has power windows, power locks, remote entry, Start in 2nd gear button, power driver seat, Monsoon Amp, 4 wheel ABS with 4 disc brakes and cruise control (doesn't work though).

NO TIRE KICKERS! No test drives unless money in hand are are serious about buying it!

Send me an e-mail for more information and more pictures.

Wait, why not just swap in am lt1?

Too much work.... will cost too much..... then I'll want to do go-fast mods to it.... I'll need to buy a Trans Am bumper, Trans Am Wing, Trans Am Emblems, get it painted.... ect

It will be cheaper to buy a finished one and I always wanted a Black Trans Am but I do like green :D

i had a guy offer me his 2007 chevy 1500 pickup for my car once. And i had a guy follow me home once and asked if he could buy my car. and offered 3500.00. And i got more then twice that in suspension and brakes.

Well, I don't really want dump money into fixing a car. I found one in NC (from LS1Tech awhile ago) and he's been holding it for me (no hurry to sell it)

It's a 95 T/A with a rebuilt motor / tranny and a fresh paint job. It's black and has tinted windows. It's like everything I wanted to do a T/A but he did it already, it's already done :hail: and it's pushing 348HP to the wheels ;)

And I dont see the dumping money you were refering to with them.... just helpin.

That 96 WS6 is nice and so is that Camaro (pretty damn cheap too for whats done to it) but I want a Trans Am, must have the high rise wing, T/A bumper (I think they all came with it anyways) and preferably a Ram Air Hood / Intake.

Anyone ever trade a car in at a dealer? How does that work?

When I get my Trans Am, I need a car for Winter, so I'm gonna lease a new car or find a nice truck and keep the Trans Am as the Summer Weekend show car.

First thing your gonna want to do is find a dealer and a car that you like..

2nd, if your gonna finance a car, your gonna need a co signer (if I remember right your not employed, or recently just began working). Another thing will be your credit, and your age....

Then do some research find out what your car is worth.... find out what the car your buying is worth (if not NEW)...

I like to make the deal on the vehicle I want to buy, and get all the numbers right, and all of the discounts in, and as much haggling as I can then I (at the last minute) offer my trade in...

By doing that, they have less opportunity to keep manufacturer discounts and play the number game with your trade in... you get a truer offer on your vehicle...

Now you say you want to lease a vehicle... any reason you want to lease?

You understand a lease means you are long term renting with a (balloon payment) option to buy at the end right?

Ok, probably my parents. Yup, just started a job this week. I have no credit either lol

Thanks, I didn't think of that.

I don't have the money for a new car, wouldn't it be better to lease then take a loan out?

Sometimes NO CREDIT can be just as difficult to finance as BAD CREDIT

Your gonna have to see how other people feel about leasing... Im not a fan... you never end up with anything for all the money you spend... Like I said, LONG TERM RENTAL.

As for LEASE or TAKE OUT A LOAN... either way your making payments... just one will be higher than the other , and the more you pay on BUYING.. the more of the car you OWN.... on a lease, it is always 100% their car...
