Crush sleeve

Ok where do I get a solid crush sleeve ? I was test driving my car last night and did a quick run and the rear started making noise it got louder and louder so I slowed down so I could pull over got to about 5 mph and the rear locked up got to looking and the damn nut backed off the nut I have is the one that comes in the gm gear install kit, the rear is not totally locked it just locks every now and then bc the nuts loose. If I can get a solid crush sleeve and better but that would be awesome

Sounds like you have a locknut problem more than a crush sleeve problem. Did you just install a gear set? With the pinion depth set was there enough thread left for the locknut to lock? Something is wrong for that to loosen that fast.
I wouldn't run it until you figure it out, the gear set will be toast.

Well I installed the gear and install kit test drove it and the rear piñon was leaking so I changed the piñon seal well instead of getting another nut and crush sleeve I just put the nut back on and went on my way which was stupid the gears have maybe 10 miles on em

just saying ... spend as little time and money on that rear ... your car is a stick and makes decent power. start look for a bigger rear end

You shouldn't have to change the crush sleeve or really even the nut just to change the pinion seal. I think something else is going on here.

Already looking at a moser 9" 3800 complete, and I changed the pinion seal but reused the lock nut and I should have changed it

Ok guys got some bad news took the driveshaft out today and the pinion nut was still tight so I took the nut off and yoke and the bearing was blue and the bearings were gone the bearing exploded, and now the pinion is stuck in the housing I've beat and beat on it and it won't come out so now I've either gotta get a new rear or break my current one gettin the pinion out idk what to do now

I had that happen on my wife's explorer. It was an 8.8. Beat it with a 5 lb sledgehammer after i pulled it out of the truck with overhead swings to no avail. Had to replace the rear. When that happens it sometimes welds the bearing to the pinion shaft. Try a bigger hammer but I bent her pinion shaft over and it never budged. Used to have pics of it...

Well the good thing is my freind is putting in a 12 bolt in his car and said I can have his 10 but I still have to get new gears I wish someone had a 12 bolt for sale that would let me make payments on, btw what oil is best to put in the rears? 90 wt or what
