what plugs should i use for a D1sc, ported head, big unknown cam, lt1?
previous dyno was 500ish, shooting for more soon with a bit more compression in the engine. currently using ngk tr6's, was thinking tr7's maybe even tr8's.

I'm using NGK Racing Plugs, R5672A-8 in my car. They are a gasketed plug for use with my AFR heads. I'm sold on the racing plugs, but I'd probably be fine using the TR7's or 8's. I'm at 15psi and using an "8" heat range.

No you need the tapered seat version. I'll try to find the part number for you.
Edit: I looked and could not find a tapered seat version. Maybe someone else knows for sure if you can use a gasket seat plug on a tapered plug seat head. I know you "can" use a taper plug on a gasket type head (not recommended) but not sure if you can go the other way. Sorry.

why would you want to go with a hotter plug? you should stay with the cooler one.
and why do you want to up compression? better to just up the boost and keep the same compression, or lower it.
what are your motor specs???

As the "#" goes up on NGK plugs the heat range goes down, so a TR55 is a stock plug, TR6 is one step colder, TR7, two steps, etc.

haha, thanks for checkin me on that. i used to run ngks on my race bike, i should have remembered that.
ive been running autolite 104s since i went FI (2 ranges cooler than stock 106s). a lot of guys knock the autolite because they are cheap, but theyve worked well for me for a long time and a lot of other FI guys have used them with good results....
i know that the TR6 is popular for FI, but i think that 2 ranges cooler would be beneficial, which is what he has already found.
glad i could be of zero help.....:peace2:

This is completely off the plug subject but I really like the look and stance of the rear wheels on your car. What kind are they and where did you get them? I'm looking for a pair of 17x11's for some MT Drag Radials.

i think those links will have all the info you need (i ended up calling them and ordering right over the phone). i did roll the lip on the inside of the fender. im not sure if everyone would have to do it, but my car is very low and i wanted to make sure that it didnt hit.
thanks for the compliment,
Jeremy
