Wow... that is really interesting! Amazing to see what it looked like when they pulled it out of the scrap yard.

Pretty cool.

Here is one kind of along the same lines.

My dad had a 69 camaro for a few years with the intention to start messing with it and decided to get rid of it because he has too many other projects. He sold it to my buddy.

My buddy took and redid the car in less than a years time. He did a complete the complete deal. Subframe off and body on the rotisery, you name it he did it all himself. Here is the finished product. They just finished the interior and he sold it 2 weeks later.

Now he has an all original 63 Nova vert. he is starting next. This one will be insane.

Damn I just read through the whole thing. That guy did a hell of a job restoring that one....I would have thought it was junk.

He's asking too much money for that 'Vette. It is a piece of history, ture, but way overpriced. $200k as it sits, or $350k for him to make it driveable, lol. Quite a price jump to hook up the fuel system and brakes. It doesn't help that they pulled it out of a salvage yard.

There is a local guy to me that has the prototype Viper GTS 1996 I think. It has the 450hp motor and zero emissions equipment. They built it to see how the chassis handled the extra power. The vin is XXXXXXXXXXX or something like that. The car is useless, since you can't put it on the road. The guy drives it around with a dealer plate on it.

Over priced or not, you have to admit, its really cool that the ORDERED TO BE DESTROYED protos are being reincarnated. Given a second life.

Just went back through the whole build thread, that was pretty awesome that he could do that and was able to afford it.
