I've got my new AZ replacement flywheel and RAM clutch in hand. The clutch has the yellow paint mark on it, but I don't see an alignment mark anywhere on the flywheel. Does it really matter how I bolt it on? I've heard clutches are neutrally balanced anyway. Or does anyone know where the mark SHOULD be? Thanks.

Put the mark as close to the dowel pin as you can. that is what I have always been told

An LT1 flywheel is not neutral balanced. I'm not sure what the AZ replacement looks like but my McLeod that I have has a removable weight on the back of it. I had to remove it because my engine is internally balanced.

I'd check the instructions in the box to see if it says anything about the markings on the clutch. Or at least give RAM a call.

Awesome, because that's what I did.

I know it has weights, I just felt like while I'm down there I'll replace the old rusted one. The AZ flywheels are just refurbished stockers, so they still have all the weights on them. I probably should have called RAM, but too late now. :D
