94 z28 cranks starts and dies

Ok i got a 94 z28 a4 car with 61xxx miles on it. Last week it started to act up it will start and run for little bit and die. When it dies it loses all power like the battery was unhooked. I cleaned all the grounds I could find. But after it dies it takes like 30 mins before it will start again. checked spark at the coil some time its there and other times no spark. Changed the coil out with my buddy's off of 94 impala it did the same thing. can here the fuel pump running when the car does start. the opti plug and wires where changed this summer.

changed the icm with a good one still doing the samething ended up getting my buddy's snapon scanner pulled dtc 16 code out

DOH! Opti time. Make sure there's no corrosion on the opti harness first though.

I concure. Sounds like an opti to me. Make sure you loctite the rotor screws, and seal it up good with RTV. Dont trust the factory seals.

yea this opti only been on the car 3 month. yea i had it all apart today. checked the harness already. 3 month old msd opti and it goes out thats just my luck and the car never really see any water either which sucks that it went out.
