As some of you may or may not know, I purchased an experimental plane earlier this year (Falcon XP).
Well, I finally got a chance to get a video of it today and thought I would share with all my LTX pals.
Oh, I may need to warn popo8 to have a clean set of drawers when watching as he mentioned just looking at the pics scared him to death. :D

Nice video, looks like a ton of fun. I like the music, are you a guitar player? I'm afraid of heights, but from the video everything looked pretty smooth even though the landing seemed a little sketchy.

Pretty cool, bet that thing handles a little different than what you get paid to fly!

I am a guitar player, however I just got an electric guitar about a year ago, and I am quite a bit aways off from being able to play like Eric Johnson (the artist who played the song I used in the video). The video doesn't really show it very well, but with only weighing 700 lbs, and having a large 38 ft wingspan, you literally feel every little bump like it is a big bump. It is not a plane to take up on a windy day. Yesterday it was a little bumpy, and I was fighting a bit of crosswind (I should have chosen the other runway). Without trying to get too technical, there is a phenomena called "ground effect" where the plane reacts different from its wingspan length to the ground, and basically makes it even more difficult to land. It was not one of my better landings in the plane, but in the end, I am just happy to get it back down safely.

Lol. Just a tad bit! Yeah, the big monsterous KC-135 is a world different than my little Falcon XP. But in the end, piloting skills from one, help me with flying the other believe it or not.

Thanks yo!

man, that looked fun as hell! My dad and I used to have/fly a Beech Sundowner (not very fun I know), but dad is itching to build a plane for himself since he is retired. I will have to show him this. I am done with flying. I could never get my IFR cause the "foggles" screwed with my head and I blew chunks trying to only read the instruments. I could never read in a car either. VFR is fun till the clouds roll in and the ceiling goes to hell..
Have fun and be safe!

Looks like a lot of fun! I like the Cliffs of Dover track as well. I just realized that I live about an hour and 20-30 minutes from you, and I am over in FTW at Piere's all the time. Small world!
...and you share my first name ;) Hit me up sometime if you come to the Fort!

Lol! Larry, you really know how to crack me up!
It has its own form of AC. It has a hole in the nose to let air come in while you are flying. On a hot day when you get up in the air, it feels nice and cool. I don't plan on flying it in the cold weather though.

It's not for the faint of heart. It can get pretty squirrelly during the takeoff and landing phase. I was pretty scared myself the first few times I did it in a plane that had never flown before, and one I had never flown or had any experience in before.

I try.... Seriously.... When your house is built... you have a big party, and I may even ask you for a ride...... BUT probably not.
