I assume everyone is still here since the world was supposed to end 2 hours ago and NOTHING happened? lol

I wonder how anyone will still take that guy seriously after this. You know someone will. "Uh, oh, I must have screwed up my math"

There are always thoose people. I am faithful person but I don't think the world is ending anytime soon. Plus, since according to the bible we have free will if the world was going to end "today" how could god have taken into account daylight savings and all the leap years?

And that's just the point. No one knows. Even the bible states that only God knows when the end times will be. The angels and the son don't even know. So how a mortal can presume to know the designs of a supreme omnipotent infinite being is beyond me.

I'm not knocking religion. I believe it's a path that a person can choose to get to heaven/nirvana/whatever you want to call it. But I don't believe that it's the only path. And I, being a mortal, finite being defined by the definitions that a finite species has come up with to describe everything, cannot, and will not, presume to understand the machinations of an infinite being other than to understand that said being is infinite and beyond mortal comprehension or definition beyond the fact that said being is infinite.

On a lighter note, I did get a pretty good running gag going at the local parts store my friend works out. I counted down and everything, then we asked everyone who was in the store if they were ok because the world just ended lol.

My friend is probably about to quit anyways because of a chode of a manager, so he really didn't give a shit. People are already complaining because the manager at that store hired a bunch of people who don't know jack about cars.

I want to thank all the people that stayed home this evening. My wife, son, and I had no problem driving through town, getting a pretty close parking spot, and a seat at the restaurant tonight. Then about 6:20 the crowd poured in.
