This is more for curiosity than anything.
I had one boring night of killing time until it was time to crash for the night. I started ebaying anything I could think of that I need/want, which is a long list, but one item was a clutch. My clutch has 158K on it. It still functions, but if I'm in some rough stop and go traffic, it will start to slip, not to mention the release point is right at the top of the pedal.
The real question is, has anyone ever had experience with the ebay clutch kits? They are extremely affordable (what isn't affordable when it's from china), and "look" like any other clutch.
What got me thinking is that I know there aren't any real aftermarket pressure plates made until you get into a serious clutch. I would assume it's a Valeo clutch pressure plate, but a different disk. Maybe I'm giving the ebay companies too much credit, so that's why I'm asking here.
I appreciate any information you guys might have.
